Rep. Hudson fights for road expansion dollars!

The Eastern part of Collier County will look much differently in no time at all now that road expansion dollars have been secured for the widening of Oil well Road. “This expansion will be critical to the economic prosperity of the County” stated Rep. Hudson. The entire Collier County Legislative Delegation worked together recognizing the tremendous impact that this expansion will have. Accomplishments

Economy- Co-Sponsored and passed HB 485 Fast track economic stimulus for small business. This bill will encourage the investment of capital in low income communities to reward innovation, create jobs , and transform communities.

Healthcare- Sponsored and passed HB 185 which will provide greater access to dental care in rural communities. The bill will also eliminate monopolies created by insurance companies that restrict access. This bill actually increases access and lowers costs.

Crime- Co-Sponsored and passed HB 123 a bill that will work to criminalize Human Smuggling at the state level in order to stem the flow of illegal immigration and human slavery.

Less Government- Sponsored and passed HB 651 a bill that streamlines and creates greater efficiency and less government within the Agency for Healthcare Administration.

Children- Co-Sponsored and passed HB 453 a bill that expands the opportunities for children from low income families to be able to receive educational scholarships through the Corporate Income tax credit scholarship program.

Property Taxes - Sponsored and passed HB 701 to provide property owners with good consumer information on their TRIM (property tax) notice. Tax payers should know what they are paying and for what services.
